L’association altermondialiste Attac participe au Forum social mondial (FSM) 2016 à Montréal où des représentantEs d’Allemagne, d’Argentine, de Belgique, du Bénin, d’Espagne, de France, du Japon, du Maroc, du Québec, du Royaume-Uni (Global Justice Now), de Tunisie et du Togo seront présentEs.
Faisant partie des huit organisations fondatrices du Forum social mondial tenu à Porto Alegre, au Brésil, en 2001, Attac a toujours été très active au sein des FSM. Cette année, une vingtaine d’activités élaborées de manière concertée et en collaboration avec plusieurs partenaires sont proposées.
Au cœur des enjeux traités se trouvent la question climatique et la transformation civilisationnelle qu’elle impose, l’extractivisme, les accords commerciaux internationaux (AÉCG, PTP, TTIP, ACS, etc.), les paradis fiscaux et le pouvoir démesuré du secteur financier dans nos sociétés, la dette publique, et les alternatives à la crise migratoire en Europe.
Plus d’une cinquantaine de militantEs d’Attac viendront au FSM. Parmi les personnalités d’Attac présentes à Montréal et qui entretiennent des liens avec le Québec et Attac Québec, notamment, depuis plusieurs années : les économistes, militants et auteurs Geneviève Azam et Dominique Plihon, respectivement membre du conseil scientifique et porte parole d’Attac France, ainsi que Christophe Aguiton, chercheur en sciences sociales, professeur et l’un des animateurs de la Commission internationale d’Attac France.
Ce FSM sera en outre l’occasion de découvrir des figures d’Attac qui viennent à Montréal pour la première fois, parmi lesquelles : Jacqueline Balvet et Huayra Llanque (France), Yacoub Bitocho (Bénin), Fathi Chamkhi (Tunisie), Lucile Daumas (Maroc), Nick Dearden (Royaume-Uni), Esmathe Gandi (Togo), Adoración Guaman et Cuca Hernandez (Espagne), Fréderic Lemaire (France), Carolina Sachs et Hugo Braun (Allemagne), Maria Elena Saludas (Argentine).
Tous participeront à la grande manifestation du 9 août et le kiosque d’Attac à la sera le point de rassemblement où les rencontrer.

Attac is mobilizing at the World Social Forum in Montreal
Attac, an organization that opposes capitalist/neoliberal globalisation, is participating in the 2016 World Social Forum (WSF) in Montreal, where representatives from Germany, Argentina, Benin, Spain, France, Japan, Morocco, Quebec, the United Kingdom (Global Justice Now), Tunisia and Togo will all be on hand.
As one of the eight founding organizations of the World Social Forum held in Porto Alegre, Brazil, in 2001, Attac has always been very active within the WSF movement. This year, a program with around 20 activities developed in a concerted manner and in conjunction with a number of partners is being proposed.
The focal issues being addressed include the climate issue and the civilizational transformation it entails ; extractivism ; international trade agreements (CETA, TTP, TTIP, TiSA, etc.) ; tax havens and the disproportionate power of the financial sector in our societies ; the public debt ; and alternatives with regards to the migratory crisis in Europe.
More than 50 activists from Attac will be attending the WSF. Among the figures from Attac coming to Montreal are individuals who have maintained ties with Quebec and Attac Québec in the past several years, including a pair of economists, activists and authors, Geneviève Azam (a member of the scientific council) and Dominique Plihon (spokesperson of Attac France), as well as Christophe Aguiton, a renowned social sciences researcher, professor, and Attac France International Commission facilitator.
This WSF will also be the opportunity to discover figures from Attac who are coming to Montreal for the first time, including Jacqueline Balvet and Huayra Llanque (France), Yacoub Bitocho (Benin), Lucile Daumas (Morocco), Fathi Chamkhi (Tunisia), Nick Dearden (United Kingdom), Esmathe Gandi (Togo), Adoración Guaman and Cuca Hernandez (Spain), Fréderic Lemaire (France), Carolina Sachs and Hugo Braun (Germany), and Maria Elena Saludas (Argentina).
They will all participate in the major demonstration scheduled for August 9, and the Attac booth will be the gathering point for meeting them.

Founded in 1998, the Action citoyenne pour la justice fiscale, sociale et écologique (Sssociation for taxation of financial transactions and citizen action, or Attac) is an association of activists working for social and environmental justice, who take a radical stance against the power held by the world of finance over communities and nature. ATTAC se moviliza en el FSM - Montreal
La organización altermundista ATTAC participa en el Foro Social Mundial (FSM) 2016, en Montreal, donde estarán presentes representantes de Alemania, Argentina, Benín, España, Francia, Japón, Marruecos, Quebec, Reino Unido (Global Justice Now), Túnez y Togo.
Como una de las ocho organizaciones fundadoras del Foro Social Mundial de Porto Alegre, Brasil, en 2001, ATTAC ha cumplido, siempre, un rol muy activo en el FSM. Este año, se presentan veinte actividades que se desarrollan de manera concertada y en colaboración con otras organizaciones.
En el corazón de los temas abordados están presentes la cuestión climática y la transformación civilizatoria que ella impone, el extractivismo, los acuerdos de libre comercio (CETA, TPP, TTIP, EPA, etc.), los paraísos fiscales y el poder excesivo del sector financiero en nuestra sociedad, la deuda pública y, las alternativas a la crisis migratoria en Europa.
Más de cincuenta militantes de ATTAC vendrán al FSM. Entre las personalidades de ATTAC presentes en Montreal y que tienen vínculos con Quebec y ATTAC Quebec, especialmente, desde hace varios años estarán : los economistas, militantes y autores Geneviève Azam y Dominique Plihon, miembro del Consejo Científico y porta-voz de ATTAC – Francia, respectivamente, como, así también, Christophe Aguiton, investigador en Ciencias Sociales, profesor y uno de los principales referentes de la Comisión Internacional de ATTAC Francia.
Este FSM será una ocasión más para conocer figuras de ATTAC que vienen a Montreal por primera vez, entre ellas : Jacqueline Balvet y Huayra Llanque (Francia), Yacoub Bitocho (Benín), Fathi Chamkhi (Túnez), Lucile Daumas (Marruecos), Nick Dearden (Estados Unido), Esmathe Gandi (Togo), Adoración Guaman y Cuca Hernández (España), Frédéric Lemaire (Francia), Carolina Sachs y Hugo Braun (Alemania), María Elena Saludas (Argentina).
Todos/as participarán en la gran manifestación de inicio del FSM, del 9 de agosto y el kiosco de ATTAC será el punto de encuentro.
